Happy Thanksgiving

I have so much to be thankful for this year...my home, my job, my friends, my family.

But... when I strip away all of the material "stuff" -  it is the individuals -- the friends and family in my life that are really important. I value and cherish each and every person God has placed in my life.

Truth be told though it is so easy for me to lose focus of what is important and dwell on what I don't have. I hate being that person, and here is the thing...I don't have to be that person. God can change me! He can cultivate a spirit of thankfulness in my heart and help me to have a deeper appreciation for everything He has given to me. He can teach me the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether hungry or well fed, whether living in plenty or in want. (Phil 4:12). When I feel the need to complain, He is reminding me to stop for a second and focus on what I have.
"Finally, brothers, whatever is true,
whatever is honorable,
whatever is just,
whatever is pure,
whatever is lovely,
whatever is commendable,
if there is any excellence,
if there is anything worthy of praise,
think about these things."
Philippians 4:8

Wishing you a great Thanksgiving Year! God Bless…

  1. May we all be blessed with a Thanksgiving that puts our Heavenly Father as the "centerpiece". Not just for tomorrow but everyday of our life. For each thing or person tht we are thankful for, we should Thank God for giving it to us.
