On one of my favorite blogs recently had a post about "simple pleasures"...
Here are a few of mine:
- The sound of birds singing in the morning
- the first flowers of Spring
- my morning cup of coffee with creamer on a weekend or day off
- reading a really good book into the wee hours of the morning
- a good conversation with a friend
- a baby smiling
- a full rainbow
- going on a walk with one of my children
- a friend or family member saying they love me
- talking with my mom on the phone about nothing (or something)
- listening to a favorite song on headphones
- getting some unexpected snail mail
- seeing a beautiful sunrise or sunset
- sitting on the beach watching the waves
- listening to it rain
